Be respectful, always
Treat everyone with kindness and respect - regardless of background, identity, experience level, or role.
Disagreement is welcome. Disrespect is not.
Be inclusive
UX Bengaluru is open to designers and practitioners at all stages of their journey.
We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or exclusion based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, caste, age, or any other personal characteristic.
Listen as much as you speak
This is a space for conversation, not performance.
Give others room to share. Avoid dominating discussions, interrupting, or dismissing different perspectives.
No harassment, no intimidation
Harassment of any kind - verbal, physical, online, or otherwise - is not acceptable.
This includes unwelcome comments, gestures, messages, or behaviour that makes others feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
No selling, no self-promotion
UX Bengaluru is not a space for pitching products, services, courses, or personal brands.
UX Bengaluru encourages learning, sharing, and growth at all career stages.
Sharing work, asking for feedback, and discussing career paths is welcome when it adds to the conversation or happens in spaces designed for it.
Unsolicited self-promotion, pitching, or repeated promotion in shared learning spaces is discouraged.
Respect boundaries
Not everyone wants to network, debate, or continue conversations beyond an event.
Respect personal boundaries, privacy, and consent - both during and after community interactions.
Help maintain the space
If you witness behaviour that goes against this Code of Conduct, please bring it to the attention of the organisers.
All reports will be taken seriously and handled with care and confidentiality.
Consequences
Organisers reserve the right to:
- Issue warnings
- Ask someone to step away from a discussion or event
- Remove participants from the community
These actions are taken to protect the community, not to punish.
